Keyword proximity refers to the closeness between two or more keywords. In general, the closer the keywords are, the better.

Keyword proximity is the distance pr closeness within a text between two or more keywords. For example if someone were searching for “Hotels in Singapore” you will expect a website that contains:

“There are a lot of Hotels in Singapore"

To rank higher than this one:

“Singapore has more than 100 hotels“

The keywords used in the search are closer in the first sentence, which makes it more relevant.
