Domain Name Servers (DNS) act like a phone book in simple words. They are used to maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

DNS is required to run a website over the internet. Web hosting service provides the DNS to run and connect a domain to it. When you purchase a domain it needs 2vdns in the form of IP addresses to run a website.

The Domain Name System (DNS) is a hierarchical distributed naming system for computers, services, or any resource connected to the Internet or a private network. It associates various information with domain names assigned to each of the participating entities.

Domain Name Servers (DNS) are the Internet's equivalent of a phone book. They maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

This is necessary because, although domain names are easy for people to remember, computers or machines, access websites based on IP addresses.
