Hi there, raheel!

By the term itself, disclaimer is a statement that denies something, especially responsibility. If you mean it as "Website Disclaimer", it is common method used by business owners or a service providers in order to limit their liability on their website.

Hope it would help!

Disclaimer is a statement that prohibits taking of some responsibility. This type of statement is used on sites by business owners that do not want to take a responsibility regarding their products or services that are harmed by accidents or natural disasters.

A disclaimer may be general in nature but depending on the functionality of your App, should take into account the ability for claims against you. If, for example, users may interact, add or post or connect with other users, there may be a higher level of potential liability and claims against you.
For the maximum protection, a disclaimer written specifically for your App would provide the highest level of protection for you. However, you may also require additional terms of use to be agreed by your users for more fulsome protection. If you have an App that involves user interaction where they can post, or contact other users or is on a subscription model, you may require a right to terminate their use, or you may find you have claims from other parties resulting from their usage. Terms of use would help protect you from this and also from claims for incorrect or inaccurate information contained in your App, for example if you have maps or restaurant recommendations and users have a bad experience, they are likely to come to you for compensation or any claim. By having them agree to terms in advance to their use, you are minimizing any chance of litigation and your risk.

A disclaimer is anything that acts as a warning to you that you are agreeing to something that might not be obvious.
