Broken links are those links that are not capable of reaching at their destination due to some mistakes in the hyperlinks. Orphan links are those links that are complete but after some days or months their destination url is removed or become unavailable.

Why Local SEO?
Local search engine optimization is ideal if you are trying to promote your website or business in a specific city or region. Using SEO locally allows you to target users who live near you or who can be detected in your region. Implemented search engine optimization locally is a way to appear as one of the first results over other businesses who offer similar products or services as you.
Know Your Audience
Before you can begin to implement search engine optimization into your own site or blog it is important to assess the type of customers you are trying to attract and the target demographic you want to reach. When you know the age group, gender and even various interests your audience has, it is much easier to find keywords you should target when you begin to work with SEO. The more information you have about the potential consumers you want to reach, the more likely you are to create effective marketing campaigns that will appeal to them.
Choose the Right Keywords
Choosing the right keywords to focus on when you are implementing SEO is also essential. Whether you are selling a specific product or offering an array of items for your customers, consider what they will be searching in order to find similar results. Write a list of the most relevant keywords that match the content of your site before you begin implementing SEO yourself or working with professionals

Broken links are links that exist on a page but do not resolve to a working destination. The url is malformed or the destination page has moved, been deleted, or the domain no longer exists. And An orphan page is the one that is not linked to by another one of the site (i.e. that cannot be reached from anywhere on the site) and thus cannot be found by a search bot unless it is linked to externally.
