Do Follow: When Google bots are crawling a website they look for external links point to other websites. If this links is “do follow” then search engines will follows the link and so link juice gets passed.

No Follow: If a search engine finds a “no follow” backlink it will just ignore the link and will not get deeper into crawling and no link juice is passed

A no follow link is a link that doesn’t “point” to another site (no signposts).

Links that “point” to another site are called do follow links.

Do follow Back links is the most powerful way to influence search engines to redirect a lot of traffic to your site. Search engine crawlers crawl the whole content on your webpage including images, links, keywords etc.

No follow links can be relevant to your post’s context and can come from the sources which have a potential to generate high referral traffic.

They are link attributes containing instructions for search engine spiders. Do follow attribute instructs to crawl and index the link, where no follow instructs not to crawl the link. Both are helpful to drive good traffic to your website, but do follow links are also helpful to build keyword ranking in search engines.

do follow count as back link to the site from search engine. It's important for site ranking to get quality back links.no follow doesn't count as back link to the site from search engine but it can be helpful as an traffic generate source if it's come from high pr sites.

If you have been doing any research on off page SEO or backlinks you have likely heard the terms nofollow and dofollow and that you only want to get dofollow for link popularity. This can be confusing unless you understand what all the fuss is about and how to tell the difference between the two.

In reality, there is no such thing as a dofollow link. All links are dofollow by default. This means that if you place a standard link on any website the search engines will find and count the link as a backlink pointing to your website. A nofollow link is created by placing a nofollow HTML code related to a specific url or it can be coded into a website to make all hyperlinks nofollow. What this code does is tell the search engines not to recognize the link.

I am sure you are wondering why anyone would not want a search engine to recognize a link. There are several reasons for this:

1. To prevent spam links, some sites will set all links in comments and profiles to be nofollow. This would prevent search engines from associating your website with undesirable links from spammers who often will leave links in comments and profiles in hopes of gaining some backlinks to their site.
