What PHP framework is best ?

So far, I have developed web application only on core php and wordpress. Now planning to try some PHP framework for fast development. So my question is from fellow developer on this forum, which php framework is going best now days ? I have heard of many like, Yii, laravel, symfony, Phalcon, Zend,Code Igniter and many others.

According to my research- Currently Laravel is gaining huge popularity, Phalcon is fastest framwork of all but built as C extension and required it's extension installed on server which is problem in shared hosting. So it require extra knowledge. Symfony and Zend are heavy duty butter better for large project.
