Free hosting comes with limited specifications and with less security. Their support is not always responsive and they contain advertisements. On the other hand paid hosting provides with dedicated IP addresses with customized updates and more security to your online data.

What is difference in free web hosting and paid web hosting ?
From my point of view, nothing comes for free. If you opt for free hosting packages, the company will display their advertisement on your website or blog where as if you opt for paid option, you won't need to let their add displayed on your website. The downside of free hosting: They may terminate the service at any point of time without giving any good reason.

Free hosting environments can at times be beneficial to those only wanting a very simple website, no frills, more or less a personal one-page website. While on the other hand, a Paid hosting environment can offer you a variety of services, limited on by that the provider has chosen to limit.

Free hosting have its on limitation. Less secure and the support is limited.
But the free hosting is suitable when there is limited budget and you are testing something or you are developer developing new site.

Numerous web host companies make it possible for everyone to have the websites published on the Internet. There are mainly two kinds of web hosting services such as 1) free web hosting 2)paid web hosting
Free Web Hosting
There's a very obvious advantage of free web hosting service is “free service”. You don't need to pay for a domain name anymore. The popular free web hosts such as Blogger & Wordpress.
Some of the disadvantages are the URL will be something such as freewebhost.com/abc (abc is username), and you need to pay more for the domain. You'll get hosting but not all the features in free web hosting that are used for a complete website. You have to buy all the features.
Also, in the event, you would need to move the website to the different web hosting provider. The free web hosting provides lower bandwidth & do not offer features like PHP & MySQL.
The free web hosting service suits to the Internet users who are just at the starting point of exploring the fun of creating the websites. These users do not need to much bandwidth or disc space in order to accommodate their files & data.
Paid Web Hosting
If you're looking for expanding your site for business purpose, go ahead with paid web hosting. It includes much more server resources, including disc space, bandwidth & better uptime. All these features are particularly pivotal if you need to accommodate large amounts of traffic daily whilst maintaining the site's performance at the same time. With paid hosting, you would be able to host your own domain. You would be able to easily transfer your domain to new provider & also not to lose traffic that you have already had, even if you decide to change the web hosting provider eventually. You'll get 24x7 support. The providers also offer sufficient space & bandwidth, plus standard features such as MySQL & PHP.

Hi,
I think till now you know what the difference between paid and free. Here i mention one major difference i.e.,the url link of free hosting doesn't appear like genuine Business website. If you really plan any site, better to choose Paid Hosting.

There are 5 main reasons why you should avoid free hosting providers:
1. Free web hosting providers are not reliable - a provider of any free service can close up shop anytime he or she wants to, and you can’t do anything about it.
2. Free web hosting is actually not free - you don’t have any control on which advertisements will appear on your page.
3. If you carefully read the Terms and Conditions of most of these services, you’ll find out that legally you don’t really own your site.
4. No Customization, No Support - Free web hosting services usually limit your options when it comes to your web page design. Most of them run on templates which are not really open to more serious changes.
5. Limited Storage and Bandwidth

I think there aren't any real free web hosting. Using what providers call "free", you are making money for them, and annoy your visiters.

Hosting services is not free and not so cheap at Rs.49 or Rs.99. Even though they charge Rs.99 as you are new client for them but next time means at the renewal they charge double in which they cover their earlier money too. So before choosing any web hosting company check their review, website, packages and decide.

In addition to hosting, you need a registered domain name, and some ISPs may offer this service as well. It’s usually a good idea to shop around for the best price because the large number of competing domain registrars regularly offer discounts for the first 12 months.
If you’re starting a blog or a site with regularly updated content, you may want to consider paying for Web hosting to keep your site free of ads. Your first visitors can get a bad impression of your website if it contains too many ads, and you won’t receive any revenue from the ads included with free Web hosting. You can, of course, place your own ads on your site when you use paid Web hosting, and this source of revenue can eventually offset the cost of hosting.
When you’re building traffic for your new website, you need to pay careful attention to your Google ranking. Your site will receive traffic from other sources, but Google searches make up the majority of your traffic. If Google penalizes your site for having too many ads, thin content or paid links, your site probably won’t appear in the first five pages of search results.

Paid hostings are profesdional hosting with good server , virus free server , unlimited data transfer with 24/7 customer support .
Free hosting is low level hosting . Lots of websites on single small server means speed of loading website is slow . No customer support , no antivirus . Your website can be hack easily

Web hosting and domain hosting, though closely related, are two different services. Web hosts allow users to create and store content, like a website, on Internet servers. Domain hosts provide domain names, which help visitors access your web content.

the free web hosting platforms do not provide the same uptime as the one provided by the paid web hosting companies.

Both free and paid web hosting provide the same level of protection, network bandwidth, and port speed. The only difference is the use of hosting features. Free web hosting is perfect for experimenting, but free web hosting is not the way to go if you want to build a proper website. Free hosts, on the other hand, should be avoided if you want the world to see your site. The small investment in a domain name and hosting is well worth it.

In short, if you pick the right paid hosting, you will have far more features than those which you get with free hosting.

Free is not reliable, free is dangerous, free is not provide you a support, free can not give you anything. However, while using paid hosting you can get whatever you want. Paid hosting offers unlimited support, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited RAM, unlimited space, and many many more things that are unlimited and reliable.

Domain names and web hosting are two different services. ... Behind each domain name, there is an address of the web hosting service storing the website's files. Without domain names, it will not be possible for people to find your website and without web hosting you cannot build a website.
