Hi Folks,

I have heard and read somewhere that in 2016, domain authority is meaning nothing. Google many times changed their algorithm, but Moz remained in a Stone Age.

As the result, in 2016 the MOZ metrics are completely meaningless for SEO purpose. Thousands domains with high DA are Google penalized or banned.

How rightful is that importance?
Your comments are welcome.

Domain authority is a numerical value that is helpful to provide information about the popularity of your website in search engines. They are measured by Moz and your domain is provided with a numerical value between 0 to 100.

Its important to realize that all third party metrics such as Moz, Majestic, Hrefs etc can be manipulated... as such these are only indicators which should not be used in isolation to make an assessment.... With that in mind indeed Moz is probably one of the worst ones out there... I see tons of sites which have a high DA/PA and have been spammed and are useless sites in terms of backlinks etc....

Yes, I am also read that Moz is not improving the DA analyze level but still DA is important. It is better than the Page Rank.
