Remember the golden rule in seo, if a link is easy to get it probably isn't worth much. Avoid the temptation to submit to 100s of web directories. This is an exercise in futility.

Web directories are considered as 'thin' sites with very less content. Hence these websites are rarely crawled and indexed in search engines. Submitting your website in web directories do not help much these days except creating spam.
