In search engine optimization terms, cross-linking is defined by the linking to onsite content elsewhere, on the same website or Cross Linking is defined as the process of linking one webpage to another, meaning the content on your webpage that links to another page on your website. It is an art of creating the links within a website.

Cross-linking and what are the function of Crosslinking. It is used to connect the group of links in a polymer.

I think 2 way linking is cross linking.

Cross linking refers to the process of linking between two sites. Whether or not they are owned by the same person, cross linking is the process on which the internet is built. It allows users to reference sites with content similar to that which they are already viewing, and may be of further interest to them.

Cross-linking is a reciprocal link with a domain. Reciprocal directory submission is one of the best examples of cross-linking structure.

Cross linking is used to refer the process of linking one site to another site and provide a way to allow the accessing to it.
It serves the purpose to display the page on the search engines using search engine optimization techniques and methods.

I suggest you should not do cross liking.

In simple words- Cross linking means link recycling. E.g :- Home Page you're word which targeted in your next web page or services. you can put link on it. It is a link building process to build link and refers to the process of linking between two sites & Cross linking helps to increase PageRank.

Cross-linking is used in both synthetic polymer chemistry and in the biological sciences. Although the term is used to refer to the linking of polymer chains for both sciences, the extent of cross linking and specificities of the cross linking agents vary

Cross linking is used to refer to the process of linking one site to another and provide a way to allow the accessing to it. It provides the users with reference sites that consist of the contents similar to the viewing of the site of the document with certain defaults.

A cross-link is a bond that links one polymer chain to another. They can be covalent bonds or ionic bonds. "Polymer chains" can refer to synthetic polymers or natural polymers (such as proteins).
When the term "cross-linking" is used in the synthetic polymer science
field, it usually refers to the use of cross-links to promote a
difference in the polymers' physical properties. When "crosslinking" is
used in the biological field, it refers to the use of a probe to link
proteins together to check for protein–protein interactions, as well as other creative cross-linking methodologies.

Linking the one site to other website with the relevant content on both sites.
