Gooogle has not updated its PR algo since 2013. But the numbers of DA of a website are increase or decrease on the basis of their backlinks and still it is happening. So keep focus on the DA of a website instead of PR. And recently google has officially shutdown its PR tool.

Page rank is no more important today as Google has stopped updating their page rank algorithm for more than 2 years now. DA or domain authority is still important as it is measured by Moz and it helps to provide domain rank to measure the popularity of your domain in search engines.
