A microblogging is, same as his name says, very small blog. Microblog posts are basically just a sentence or two in length and might answer questions like, "what am I doing with my life?" or introduce brief topics. They can be used to share brief links to audios, videos, or single images. Your Facebook wall or your Twitter feed cannot be considered as microblogs.

Thank you! :)

Micro-blogging is a term described by Wikipedia as “a form of blogging that allows users to write brief text updates (usually less than 200 characters) and publish them, either to be viewed by anyone or by a restricted group which can be chosen by the user”. Several startups have witnessed phenomenal growth with micro-blogging services, most notably Twitter. In addition, numerous social networks – including Facebook and Bebo – have integrated similar status update services. The space is hot and it’s still heating up.

SEO stands for "Search Engine Optimized."

Search engines don't like long strings of ugly characters in the URL, like "?A6eC9Gghwanl092"

They like things like "?/this/here/story/html"

Turining on the SEO option makes the first example look like the second example. Hence, "Search Engine Optimized."

The posts are called microposts, while the act of using these services to update your blog is called microblogging. Social networking sites, like Facebook, also use a microblogging feature in profiles. On Facebook this is called "Status Updates".

Its like a short message that is "to the point". Most copywriters in a copywriting service (https://www.textun.com/) use this method to make descriptions on a product.

Microblogging is a broadcast medium that exists in the form of blogging. A microblog differs from a traditional blog in that its content is typically smaller in both actual and aggregated file size. Microblogs "allow users to exchange small elements of content such as short sentences, individual images, or video links", which may be the major reason for their popularity. These small messages are sometimes called microposts.
