Many hosts (including ourselves) include such DDoS protection IN ANY CASE and with any plan, for all racks. It's as simple as protecting our entire network from attacks as good as possible (it's never perfect though). That someone markets that as the main feature is interesting ...

I think many service provide go any hosting company through purchase and use.

Remotely protect websites and applications against DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks! JavaPipe's Remote DDoS Protection is an industry-leading DDoS mitigation system to protect your existing hosting platform from cyber-attacks. It scrubs all attack traffic and forwards only the clean bandwidth to your server.
Inexpensive Remote DDoS Protection
The DDoS protection for websites protects any HTTP application and increases its performance and security. It includes layer 7 filtering, static content caching (CDN), a WAF (Web Application Firewall) against hackers and supports the latest technology, including HTTP/2, WebSockets and Load Balancing.
The DDoS protection for applications defends all other online services, such as game servers and e-mail servers against DDoS attacks and turns an unprotected server into DDoS protected hosting. The supported technologies are GRE tunneling, VPN tunneling and NAT forwarding (default).
