Crawling is basically when the search engine spider visits a page.

Indexing is when the spider records the page and starts displaying the page in search or counting the link for SERP movement.

Crawling is the visiting only by the search engine spider while Indexing is to records the data in its server. Both are the different activity.

Crawling - Crawling takes place when there is a successful fetching of unique URIs which can be traced from valid links from other web pages.

Indexing - Indexing takes place after a crawled URIs are processed. Note that there may be several URIs that are crawled but there could be fewer of them whose content will be processed through indexing.

Crawling means the visit of Google to track your web page. This process is done by Spider of Google crawler. Indexing means when crawling has been done putting the results on Google’s index.

Crawling is the process of reading through your web page source by search engine bots or spiders.
Indexing is the storing of your web page in search engine database after a successful crawl.

Crawling is the process or reading through your webpage source by search engine spiders. They provide a cache certificate after a successful crawl. Indexing is updating the cached webpages in search engine database. Indexed webpages are now ready for search engine rankings.

About Crawling: When the Search Engines come to your site and read the data, this process is called Crawling.

About Indexing: Whenever Search Engines come to your site, which pages are they crawl by the search engine, they take a copy of that page with them and save it on their server. It is called Indexing.
