Yes, of course you can. But note that you have to setup everything needed to host it - apache, dns, etc... it is better and cheaper to transfer files using FileZilla FTP Client (https://nextpointhost.com/forex-vps/file-transfer/using-filezilla-ftp-client) it on a place where your uptime will be guaranteed. I suggest you to check NextPointHost (https://nextpointhost.com) as reliable provider.

To be able to host a website from your home, you'll need 3 things:
ISP: Usually you won't have an issues unless you expect heavy traffic.
Server software: I'd advice sticking to http://www.apachefriends.org/en/... as it's probably the easiest way to install Apache, MySQL and PHP under Windows.
DNS: Consider any package from Managed DNS | Outsourced DNS | Anycast DNS to be able to point your domain to your home, neverminding that your IP will probably change over time.
