Specialized WordPress hosting is optimized for WordPress, but usually those who need it;

1. My have had security issues in the past

2. Have lots of traffic and need a reliable solution or have outgrown their current host

3. Only use WordPress and have no need for control panels


If you are just starting out, almost any reputable host will work, but do the research ahead of time. Make a list of hosts that fit your needs. Research those hosts on here. Contact them, and move forward. Some may be able to help with specific WordPress issues, but it does depend on the issue.

Also;

1. Add the WordFence plugin to your installation and disable Live View
2. Try to limit plugin usage
