What are the limitations of title and description tags?

Hi, recently I have checked my website title tag and as well as the description tag, in the Google SERP the total character is increased in the title and as well as description.

Have anyone noticed the same. Please share your ideas behind this.

Title is 55 to 60 and description is 150 to 170.

Yes, long back Google has increased the limitation for Title and Description. The new limit for meta Title is 70-75 characters, which equals to 600 pixels. And for meta Description it is around 150-160 characters, which equals to 1200 pixels.

Based on Google SERPs, title tag and meta description character limits have decreased 21% and 23%, respectively. Now it is 55 characters (including spaces) for title tags and 115 characters (including spaces) for meta descriptions.

In Meta Title tag we can use max. 60 characters while in description its 160.
