Interestingly Google does have a domain hosting available but at this stage is limited to US only.

Yes, Google provides web hosting which is called GCE. But hosting directly on their platform is a bit tricky after creating an account you need first need to create a stack on your server and once the stack is created you need to protect it by yourself from server attacks. Instead of directly getting an account you could choose a managed hosting providers who provide their services on GCE like Cloudways.
