SEO is about optimizing your website to get better rankings in the search results. Its a Free or organic Marketing
SEM is the marketing process with a goal of getting more visibility in search engines either by getting more free traffic (SEO) or paid traffic (Paid search advertising).
Pay Per Click (PPC) is a paid Marketing, while traffic generated from PPC is not free

SEO: Search Engine Optimization. Optimization of a website according to guidelines of search engine.
PPC: Pay per Click. Paid marketing technique in which we promote our products, website, services in the form of ads and when the user clicks to the ad, it will lead user to the website which is hyperlinked to it. Best way to earn online.
SEM: Search Engine Marketing. It is a paid technique. Promotion of a website on the top of SERP by paying to search engine.

SEO refers for optimizing your website
SEM is over and above SEO but it’s only a subset of your overall marketing strategy.
PPC, this is the great way to get more visitors to your site.

SEO,PPC or SEM main different given below:

SEO is the process of optimizing your web site for the purpose of getting free traffic from search engines.
Search Engine Marketing is over and above SEO but it’s only a subset of your overall Internet Marketing Strategy. The diagram below shows the relationship between Internet Marketing, SEM and SEO.
PPC is not free (as the name implies you have to pay a cost per click).
