In SEO, sub-domains matters or not? Will SEO affect sub-domains too?

I thought it was just a backlink. It helps increase keyword rankings

In general Google treats subdomains as separate sites.
Therefore a subdomain is an advantage if your main domain is already ranked well for your targeted keywords because your subdomain has a separate opportunity to rank and therefore give you a greater share of that valuable first page of Google real estate.

If you're doing it for SEO purposes, then don't. You really shouldn't be doing anything on your site purely for "good SEO." SEO is a fairly natural process if you think about it... everything that SEOs recommend as a best practices would usually be a good best practice, even if search engines didn't exist.
There are exceptions of course, but they are fewer and further between than most SEOs like to admit.

Yes, Sub-domains like WordPress, Blogger are very beneficial for for PA, DA and ranking of website.
