I got a new project which SEO has been already done previously and targeted keywords are coming in top pages. But now they wanted to add new keyword. So how can we start SEO for new keywords?

Firstly you need to prepare list of keywords, which they want to rank for. Optimize the pages accordingly. Create content around those targeting keyword and reach out to your target audience through content marketing.

First you should do on page and then off page techniques...

Same SEO techniques which you used for your previous keywords. Include keywords in content of the webpage i.e. title, heading, alt, internal links etc and then create backlinks using the new keywords.

Create a landing page for the new keywords if the don't want to have that keyword on the homepage. Once the keyword is implemented then Perform On-page and Off-page for that landing page.
