To secure your data while transporting them from one place to another, check that there is no leak with the encryption key implemented with the data you are sending.

Hi john, I think you should take some tutorials help on youtube where you can see all the process how it happens. for being specific do they have openstack restful api (http://www.stratoscale.com/wiki/display/privatecloud/OpenStack+Architecture) or not because it has then you should include it in your search otherwise the process will be incomplete and you might face data loss problem.

Goodluck!

While transferring data from one cloud to another, it is passed in encrypted forms called chunks. Though any one try to decrypt that chunk, it will not in use because there are several chunks of single data.

So there will be data security during data transfer from cloud to cloud.

While exchanging information starting with one cloud then onto the next, it is passed in scrambled structures called lumps. In spite of the fact that any one attempt to decode that lump, it won't being used on the grounds that there are a few pieces of single information.
So there will be information security amid information exchange from cloud to cloud.
