Indexing generally refers to getting your web pages (or other various forms of content from PDFs to videos) indexed in Google & other search engines.

A search engine results page (SERP) is the page displayed by a search engine in response to a query by a searcher. The main component of the SERP is the listing of results that are returned by the search engine in response to a keyword query, although the page may also contain other results such as advertisements.

"Indexing" is a term from computer science that refers to the categorized storage of information (data) in such a way that the information can be quickly retrieved via an "index" of "key" (field/data) information. The index itself is external to the core database and a database structure may be indexed in multiple ways, each indexing method represented by a separate "physical" index.

Indexing takes place after a crawled URIs are processed. Note that there may be several URIs that are crawled but there could be fewer of them whose content will be processed through indexing

The result of Google engine or any other search engines for any query is called Search engine result pages (SERP).

Indexing is updating the cached webpages in search engine database. Indexed webpages are now ready for search engine rankings.

Indexing - indexing is the process of adding webpages into Google search.

SERP - A search engine results page (SERP) is the list of results that a search engine returns in response to a specific word or phrase query. Each listing includes the linked Web page title, the linked page URL (Uniform Resource Locator), a brief description of the page content and, in some cases, links to points of interest within the website.

"Indexing " is a term from software engineering that alludes to the arranged stockpiling of data (information) such that the data can be immediately recovered by means of a "file" of "key" (field/information) data. The file itself is outer deeply database and a database structure might be recorded in different ways, each ordering strategy spoken to by a different "physical" file.
