In my view both are very interesting and important tools.

You simply can't compare these two awesome google resource tools to give preference to any one. both tools are very important for any website owner for different purposes. Google Analytics is used for tracking visitors, traffic and sessions and Google webmaster tool is used for indexing of web-pages and content on your site.

Both are Important. And the main difference is there between both is Webmasters Tools is a reporting Tool that gives you the report how search Engine sees your website and also show you the keywords ranking, Security issues, Give the facility to manually crawl the websites or webpages and much more.
On the other hand, Google Analytics is the Proper Reporting Tool that gives you the overall report of your website and considering Bounce Rate, User Behaviour, Facility to crreate Goals, Funnels, Facility to Block IPs, User Location, Divices Information and much more.

I'll prefer analytics tool as we can associated it with the webmaster account and get the details in analytics. So analytics is better option.
