Meta keywords are keywords and phrases you can add to a meta tag on a webpage which is part of the code invisible to users. Many years ago meta keywords were useful signals to webcrawlers to understand you page and helped rank. Now they serve no seo purpose.

Meta keywords are a type of meta tag that were historically used to provide search engines with information about the content of a webpage. They were intended to help search engines understand the topic of the page and improve its chances of being ranked for relevant searches. However, their use has significantly declined over the years due to abuse by spammers and the fact that search engines now rely more on other signals, such as the actual content of the page and inbound links, to determine rankings.

In modern SEO, meta keywords are generally not considered a significant ranking factor, and many search engines, including Google, ignore them completely. In fact, Google officially announced in 2009 that they do not use meta keywords for ranking purposes.

Overall, while it's not harmful to include meta keywords in your web pages, it's also not necessary or particularly beneficial for SEO. Instead, focusing on high-quality, relevant content and other SEO best practices is more likely to improve your search engine rankings.

Meta keywords are meta tags that you can use to give search engines more information about a page's content. They're found in a webpage's HTML source code and are not visible to visitors The <meta> tag defines metadata about an HTML document. Metadata is data (information) about data. <meta> tags always go inside the <head> element and are typically used to specify character set, page description, keywords, author of the document, and viewport settings.

Meta elements can be used to specify page description, keywords and any other metadata not provided through the other head elements and attributes. The meta element has two uses: either to emulate the use of an HTTP response header field or to embed additional metadata within the HTML document.
