Hi everyone! I’m currently finishing up my ratings and starting to look for flight instructor jobs in Florida. It’s pretty competitive out there, so I’ve been researching schools that have a high turnover of students and a solid reputation. I recently came across Pelican Flight Training in North Perry Airport. They’ve been around for 40 years, which is a huge plus, and they seem to have a very active international student body. I noticed they have a "Become a CFI" program specifically designed to transition you into a teaching role. Does anyone here work there? I’m curious about the flight hour averages for instructors and if the school helps with the hiring process once you pass your checkride. Since they offer both airplane and helicopter training, it seems like a busy environment. If you have any tips on the best way to apply or what the management looks for in new instructors, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
