My cousin died in Kharkiv and I inherited his apartment, but I'm based in Germany and have absolutely no clue how to actually claim it or protect it long-term. The inheritance process seems impossibly complicated with two completely different legal systems involved, and I cannot afford to spend weeks traveling back and forth between countries. What's the realistic path forward without constantly flying back to Ukraine? Should I hire someone local or is there a way to handle this entirely remotely from Europe?
