Hi. Our only bathroom in a 1920s Seattle house is tiny, like five by seven. Any tips on making a small bathroom feel bigger? The tub is an original cast iron one we'd love to keep if possible, but the rest is a mess of 80s tile and a vanity that takes up half the room. Anyone done this?

Hi. We have a similar tiny bath in our 1920s house in Fremont. Worked with New Day Construction on Seattle Bathroom Remodeling. They suggested a wall-hung vanity, a glass shower panel instead of a curtain and large-format tiles, which made the room feel twice as big. Recessed niches in the shower gave us storage without eating space. We even kept a bit of the original character with a vintage-style mirror. Honestly, a small bathroom still costs real money because the labor is similar to a big one. But it's the room we use every day, so it was worth it.
