Google Loves WordPress

It is a bit of a mixed topic as it involves Google, WordPress and SEO. Client I have created site for, hired SEO specialist for one of the regions and he has build WordPress site (placed on the subdomain). And he had said exactly what you see in the title.

Does anyone here have a hard evidence for that or this guy just does WP and it is easier to sell that. I can find good arguments against WordPress, especially in the case of this client as he does not need CMS. Coding and all the updates are done by hand in PHP.

I would love to hear arguments pro and against WP, especially if you experienced it. For example, I had to work on WordPress hack last week that hijacked menu links. So one issue with WP is problem with security.

Wordpress blogs are designed for seo and google. They have plugins and are easy to set up on your website hosting and seo them. Most people do not know a lot of the seo work needed to be done and word press blogs do a lot of it for you. They also are fast page speed if you limit how many plugins and size of images. They are set up for and seo mobile and work on pc or laptop and tablets.

You just have to do keyword research and buy a domain name and web hosting to start your own word press blog. There are some easy security fixes like changing log in url on word press blogs and log in attempts. Any thing that is popular will have more problems with people trying to get into the account.

WordPress can be great for SEO, but it's not always the best fit—especially if the client doesn't need a CMS. Security and bloat are real concerns too.

I've seen both sides too—WordPress can be overkill for simple sites, but its flexibility is hard to beat when used right. Security issues usually come from outdated themes or plugins, not WP itself. For clients needing custom features, I’ve had great success using tailored wordpress plugin development rather than relying on bulky third-party tools.
