What is sitemap? How much types of sitemap and how utilize in SEO?

I know very well sitemap is very important in SEO and I don’t know how to use in it.

sitemap is very useful and it helps crawlers to reach your content easy.
Following are the types of sitemap:
1. sitemap.html
2. sitemap.xml
3. geositemap
4. imagesitemap
5. video sitemap

Sitemap is a comprehensive list of pages (URL's) of a website. A sitemap enables deep and complete indexing of your webpages thus improving your visibility on SE’s.

Broadly Sitemaps are classified as XML (for spiders) and HTML (for users).
Besides that, there are specialized Sitemaps too namely mobile, news and code search
excluding those as stated by jonathan code.

How to use?
What you need to do is create a Sitemap and submit it to Google webmaster tools or attach it with your robot.txt file.

Sitemaps are basically a collection of a website URLs defining the architecture of a website. Primarily there are two types of Sitemaps - HTML (provides easy navigation to human visitors) and XML (Ensures deep and complete crawling by spiders), although you can distinguish them on many other basis like text, image, video etc.
