It could be true but what if you are wasting your energy on building backlinks and you are getting nothing? i mean don't waste your time in building backlinks and understanding the algorithms of Google. Try to invest your time to find out new customers, markets and business places from where you can get business. For this purpose Social media sites are very important and effective your should use them don't neglect these very important mediums of marketing.
