According to me listing is the best.

I think SMO, Blog commenting,

Forum Posting, Social Book Marking, Blog Commenting, Document sharing.

Social media marketing will work fast and give your website a traffic boost if you have informative and useful content with unique and attractive images.
Use Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, StumbleUpon and Google+ at most and regular.

Website traffic can be increased by some good off page technique such as:

Guest posting
Social bookmarks
Social networking
Press release
Classified ads

In my opinion best of all is connect the people and make relation with them. Then ask them to give a link. What you think? Am i right?
