How many target keywords should a site have?

A site not have any specific criteria for no. of keywords to target, while for a single page we try to target 6-8 keywords in of-page activities.

I want to know how many keyword should be in maga tag keyword. I have enter many keyword in the mata tag keyword. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I am currently using an average of 3 to 5 key words per page as I believe that this is the most effective number that I could get to use these days.

The keywords usage is considered to be the best if the home page has 3-4 keywords and the inner pages have 1-2 keywords. Keeping this keyword density, you can continue with long articles.

Based from my years of experience, 3 to 5 target key word is adequate for every web based site page of any online site but then again selection of your target KW is vital too.
