The black hat SEO techniques include Google spamming which is preferably banned by Google and therefore, it is advisable to use white hat techniques.

white hat is that when you say something; you need to consider other views on internet as well Only SEO being a small fraction of web marketing calls for the relevant interplay of black as well as white hats.

If I explain you in simple words then any link building activity done by you without spamming and in ethical way is considered as white hat seo technique and if you build your links through unethical way or by doing spamming activity then it should considered as black hat seo technique.

You can easily achieve top positions in search engine within very short period by using black hat seo techniques but the results are also for short period and it might be possible that search engine will penalize you putting permanent ban on your website. So I suggest you to go with white SEO techniques, it will take time but you will get result which stay long without jeopardizing relation with search engines.
