Well Link building is very important to rank any website higher on search engines. But don't forget the importance of On Page SEO and quality content. On Page is playing more then 50% role in search engines rankings.

And content is also important in accordance with Google panda updates, so make sure that you keep your website updated with unique content to get high rankings.

Its all a guessing game... (I've just typed this and been timed out so I'm gonna type quicker this time!!!)

Google gives NOTHING away. Evryone comes out with theories, but the general idea is that we must all inbound link and God knows how the best way of doing this is, cos no one really has a scooby doo how Google really rates any of it!

I run a wedding photography company and spend hours and hours each month trying to outwit the other little geeks in my industry so that my site appears in the first few on Google. Their are a couple who clearly pay someone who is good at what they do as every 6 months or so they come from no where and end up at the top of the google rankings.

Unfortunately photographers by their nature are a bit technical so the computer industry goes hand in hand with what they do (It's pretty hard to rank high on Google when you are competing against so many techno-geeks)

I'm goona look for more tips on this forum now and see what I can find.
