Hello A vector image means the information saved of the picture is saved in a mathematical format. a photograph ( raster ) image is saved in bits. From left to right, from top to bottom, Every color is saved as a dot. These dots come together and create the image. The count of how many dots there are is called the "resolution". I am sure you have heard 72 Dpi, 300 Dpi. DPi means Dots per inch. A vector image is devoid of resolution because it only uses math. It plots points called nodes and draws the lines between them as in your geometry class and drawing slopes and what not. !!
