if only your banner is in flash then it would not hurt but if meny is also in flash then you will hurt badly as google will see no pages to index.

To get fast indexing in google and yahoo and other search engine you need to submit each page to directory, SE, Bookmark sites.
I guess one point is missing RSS feed submissions is also good way to get indexed.
If you want to index quickly,you can use blogspot,as long as you have fresh content your site will be indexed quickly.
