I am surprised that there are so many positive HostGator recommendations here.
Usually they have questionable reputation. In many of the webhosting forums and groups they are usually not recomended as being part of a giant holding controlling them. They generally oversell their servers and their support is not very good. But they throw a lot of money on advertising and this is why they are so popular.

I would recommend for US hosting BurstNet, colorhost, dreamhost, arvixe, liquidweb but not hostgator, bluehost, dreamhost.

I didn't have any experience with both web hosting deal. but you can check their feedback and reviews in various web hosting forums and review sites. Customer feedback is very important to know more about your chosen host.If you find any negative feedback about their hosting don't go that hosting.According to me ,I would suggest you to visit TheWebPole.com They will provide good server speed.Recently i hosted my own site here.I never had any problem.So only i recommend this one.I hope it will be very useful to you.

If we compare any service, then we need to look at every factor of the web hosting service which include various things like performance test, speed, response time, prize, reliability etc.. I personally think hostgater is better than Dreamhost.

For discounts, I'd go with HG. For stability but on a higher price, I'd check with dreamhost.

The best hosting providers are those who care their clients and provide reliable services with good dealing. Without dealing with a hosting company one could not say which one is better and which one is not.

If you ask me between Hostgator and Dreamhost then I will choose Hostgator. You can also look at various other good web hosting services like host.co.in.
