There can be least denying that article is a better choice as compared to blogs for practicing article marketing. Article marketing is the ultimate way of updating the latest trends.

Blog is not limited it can be expressed in unlimited words. It might be self pro motive but exactly opposite to that Article can not be expressed in unlimited it has certain limit and it is not for the self pro motion it is about our website.

Blog is more personal in tone and use. An article is a popular term for professional works. Though blogging is more preferred to say than article (because it's less formal).
