No I don't think so keywords are required in the domain name for SEO. You can use keywords in inside page URL or in blogs URL.

It is just logical to think like that. If you have an email service, logically, email.com will be a great domain. It was earlier told that having key words in domain does help in SEO.
Google too might give preference to keyword stuffed domain name. If you check the SEO services, most of them have the word " SEO " stuffed into their domain, no matter what they say of about it.
Google changed it’s algorithm, so websites that used domain names like that wouldn’t rank just for the simple fact that the keyword was in the domain name. And yes, that used to be the case, before the update.

it is really important that you buy a domain name that is related to your website content and is helpful if you buy it with related keyword it will bring ur blog or website on to of your search results
Not sure about others but I prefer brand keywords rather than keywords in domain. It simply restrict you into a certain niche, that's why.

It is not necessary as it was some years back. And, if you choose the unique and attractive, short and easy to remember domain to your website then that is better.
