What is difference between secured website and non secured website ?
There are few things which can make a website secure.
1. SSL certificate
2. Brute force protection
3. NoCAPTCHA
4. Cloudflare protection
etc
Both HTTP and HTTPS are protocols being used to transport information over the internet.
HTTP = Unsecured information exchange protocol
HTTPS= Secured information exchange protocol
As the use of the Internet has been growing rapidly the day by day, ultimately it will create broader area to data hackers on the Internet. Hence, it is the best practice now and the encryption should be added in a website.
As HTTP does not offering any encryption or security environment, the users has moved to the secured version of HTTP known as HTTPS.
To enable HTTPS the user needs to install an SSL Certificate on his server. Once the installation process finishes and a user try to connect to that website, the information exchange between browser and server will be encrypted and the user can access the secured environment.
Once the secured connection starts, the browser will display HTTPS with a green padlock. This indicates the website is genuine, trusted and legitimate.
HTTPS encryption is important today to protect the browser-server communication, file or information exchange from client-server and to keep attackers in a bay.
From the Internet Communication Ports, the HTTP works on Port Number 80 and HTTPS works on Port Number 443.
It is like http and https
With SSL certificate and without certificate. SSL certificate is recommend to install for website for secure access
Secure Website: Generally, secure websites use authentication and encryption standards to protect the confidentiality of web transactions. Currently, the most commonly used protocol for web security is TLS (transport layer security). This technology commonly used as ssl or you can say secure socket layer.
Non Secure website: Website is not show with https, that is called non secure website.
Check the SSL Certificate. ... If it begins with “https” instead of “http” it means the site is secured using an SSL Certificate (the s stands for secure). SSL Certificates secure all of your data as it is passed from your browser to the website’s server.
A secure wensite is one which uses SSL( Secure Socket Layer) for its user information. Basic implementation of SSL is done on the login page.
When a user types his username and passeord that data hops through different systems to reach the main server. So in order to protect it from being read by anyone in between it is encrypted using certificates ( which you need to buy depedning upon how strong encryption you want).
Now i think you must have got the idea that what are non-secure websites
Secure websites are always denoted as https://......................
