There are 2 types of SEO techniques White hat and Black hat SEO.

White hat: The best practice which helps to improves the ranking of your website in different search engines in an ethical way.
Black hat: This is just the opposite of white hat SEO. Keyword stuffing, hidden link, paid links, cloaking are some of the black hat techniques used for SEO. This is very bad for your website when Google find out.

Use white hat SEO techniques for doing SEO for better future of your website.
