Outbound links, also called external links, direct visitors from pages on your website to other sites on the Internet. Unlike inbound links, which send visitors to other pages on your website, outbound links send visitors to entirely different sites. If another website links to you, it is considered an outbound link.

External Links are hyperlinks that point at (target) any domain other than the domain the link exists on (source).

In layman's terms, if another website links to you, this is considered an external link to your site. Similarly, if you link out to another website, this is also considered an external link.

Outbound links are the links going out to another site from your website. The major advantage of having Outbound links is that you will get targeted visitors to your site and it helps to be in contact with bloggers of same niche.

Outbound links are those that point to external webpages from your domain. These links take away traffic and link juice from your website pages. Hence too many outbound links are harmful for your website.
