The Content-Length header is a number denoting an the exact byte length of the HTTP body. ... Generally the Content-Length header is used for HTTP 1.1 so that the receiving party knows when the current response* has finished, so the connection can be reused for another request.

The Content-Length entity-header field indicates the size of the entity-body, in decimal number of OCTETs, sent to the recipient or, in the case of the HEAD method, the size of the entity-body that would have been sent had the request been a GET.

Content length can be a crucial matrix as far as SEO is considered. If a recent research is to be believed, the pages that appears on the first page of search result has an average content length of above 2200 words. Which means that google or other search engine while displaying search results, measures the length of the content, and they believe if the content length is above 2200 words, then that means the page answers the questions the user have asked in search on Google.

If you are in to search engine marketing, I am sure you know the importance of contents length. If you are new to SEO, you better get rid of thing contents on your site, i.e. pages that has just a few words like 200-300 words or less than that.

    Hope it helps!
