Uptime is calculated based on how long the servers are turned on and running, hosting providers attract customers by providing the time their servers are on, they are calculated on percentage(%)
The Lower the uptime the more issues in loading the website.

Uptime is calculated based on the number of hours that the server is available during a given period of time and is expressed as a percentage.

Up time is just a ratio. that measure percentage of machine running in 24 hours. Where your website is running. If Up time is 99.99 %, then it is good.

Part of active time during which equipment, machine, or system is either fully operational or is ready to perform its intended function.

Uptime is a measure of system reliability, expressed as the percentage of time a machine, typically a computer, has been working and available. Uptime is the opposite of downtime.

Uptime is the measure of the uninterrupted time that a hosting system experiences. Ideally uptime would be at 100% (i.e. zero downtime) but in the real world this is extremely difficult to achieve.

In layman’s terms, Uptime is the number of hours that a server is working and available and is the opposite of downtime.

Uptime is a great measure of how good a web hosting provider is at keeping their services up and running.
Uptime is the amount of time that a service is available and operational. It is generally the most important metric for a website, online service or web-based provider.

Uptime is a time during which a server is operational. This time is sometimes measured in percentage.
If the server uptime is 99.9% then it indicates the time for which the server is operational for 99.9% of the time.
