The <header> element is one of several new semantic document tags introduced with HTML5. It is used to define a header section for the element that contains it. It can be used as a header for a whole page (the most common usage), but can also be used as the header for an article or any other piece of on-page content.

The way you write your headers and subheads depends on which HTML header tag you’re talking about.

Put the h1 tags at the top of your page (of course).
Use the words people would use when searching for what your content is about.
If you’re targeting a question, put the question in the h1 tag.
If you’re writing a how-to guide, put each step in an h2 tag.
For non-how-to articles, use LSI keywords and other, semantically-related words in your h2-h6 tags. This helps reinforce topical relevance and removes ambiguity.

The <header> tag in HTML is used to define the header for a document or a section. The header tag contains information related to the title and heading of the related content. The <header> element can also be used to wrap a section's table of contents, a search form, or any relevant logos.

Header tag contains one or more header elements and you can specify the size for headings. There are 6 levels: H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H6 (H1 is used for main headings). Headers can contain headings, subheadings, version information, navigational controls, etc. Heading tags are an important one to show the document structure.

It is very easy to differentiate the header tag.
there are 6 ways to do it.

    H1 to H6

start with <H1>.........</H1> this is closing tag.

The same code you can use for resat of the headings(H2,H3,H4,H5,H6) just make sure that whenever you start a header than at the end you must close it or else it will not work.

H1 & H2 are called as header tags. H1 indicates the text with highest priority & H2 being second highest priority. This tag is used because search engine crawlers are unable ti identify images & hence proper name is given to them in the form of text.
