Domain extensions, also known as Top Level Domains or TLDs, are the suffixes or the last part of a domain name - the letters that come after the dot to the right of any domain name.
    Advantage of Domain Name Extension:
1- If you are targeting a specific geographical location, choosing a country specific TLD may be a good choice for you. On the other hand, this might be slightly problematic if you have plans to expand to international markets.
2- If you choose a generic TLD that is specific to your niche or industry such as .bikes, .design or .fitness, then be that it fits well with your brand and is easy to remember.
3- Some domain extensions are cheaper than others, but be wary of choosing purely based on price. Some cheaper ones may be associated with spammers, or have otherwise less credible reputations.

About the advantages - you can create funny names with them - for example if you get .online domain extension, you can purchase a domain buy.online. That's so cool! Some time ago .com ruled the internet and it looks professional for sure, but I think that nowadays it's important to be unique and interesting so it could help people memorise your domain name.

Domain name extensions are the suffixed you see at the end of your domain name such as .com, .net, .org, etc. These are also called TLDs.
There isn’t any advantage of using one TLD over the other, but generally you can use different TLD’s to define your business, thus enabling you to focus on a niche market

The primary advantage of choosing a .com domain name is that it's the most popular and valuable extension from the after market perspective. Depending on your project, it may or may not make sense to acquire it. It is likely to pay a premium price for the .com you want that is already registered.

.net extension allows your visitors to expect web-based services and will help you narrow down leads by sector automatically. . net is commonly used for companies offering web hosting or internet service providers. . net extensions are usually more readily available and cheaper than the .com version of the domain name.
