What is a conversion in Google AdWords?
The conversion tracking code is enabled only on few pages of website unlike remarketing. The codes or scripts are not enabled on all the pages of the website.
Conversion: Definition. An action that's counted when someone interacts with your ad (for example, clicks a text ad or views a video ad) and then takes an action that you've defined as valuable to your business, such as an online purchase or a call to your business from a mobile phone.
In AdWords, conversion happens after a click on the ad of an advertiser. This is counted as a conversion if the customer fulfills the goal defined by the advertiser. An advertiser can set multiple goals, few primary and a few secondary objectives. A conversion can be each such goal. It is however entirely up to the advertiser to decide what a conversion is. This is dependent on their business prospects.
A completed activity, online or offline, that is important to the success of your business. Examples include a completed sign-up for your email newsletter (a Goal conversion) and a purchase (a transaction, sometimes called an Ecommerce conversion). A conversion can be a macro conversion or a micro conversion.
