Asshat SEO generally falls into two categories.

• Someone who uses Black Hat SEO techniques and other high-risk strategies that can jeopardize the client site WITHOUT telling the client
• Someone who is not good at SEO, but is taking money from people to rank sites anyway – an SEO In Name Only (SINO)

Then we move onto the Asshat, these are the SEOs who really have no deep understanding of the industry and generally try scatter-gun approaches combining Black-hat, White-hat and Grey-hat techniques, often resulting in a total mess that can take years to clean up.
