In what possible way could that be a good idea? It will cost money to do, and gain no advantage. And there is a considerable risk of a damaging disruption of business during the move.

Do not do this on a whim.

You need a thorough business justification showing a big financial upside

You need a detailed technical plan that shows step by step how to do the move and who will be responsible for making each step happening in a reliable and timely fashion

If you are being ordered to do it by your management, make sure that you have a detailed written record of who told you to do what, and that you warned of the risks. Otherwise, when it goes wrong, you are the one that will be blamed and probably fired.

    Go with a trusted vendor.
    Build-in “off-ramps.”
    Hire experienced developers.
    Consider security.
    Know how it works first.
    Make multiple backups.
Consider the application you want to use.
Manage every step of the process.

As an organization, when you think of moving your web server to the cloud it's important to understand what facets of your IT systems you are relocating.

A common small company will probably use the complying with computer system systems or services:

Desktop computer Applications-- software application made to do a particular task. As an example Workplace software so you can write letters, create spreadsheets, or accounting software, payroll software, Stock Control, CRMs etc.
Data-- Structured Data such as the information kept in data sources utilized by your accountancy software; and Unstructured Information such as files, spread sheets, pictures, pdf files.
Back-End systems-- these are various other software applications that work behind the scenes on that particular web server in the corner of the office, which make all the desktop applications work. This may include: Email Web servers such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL Servers that take care of data sources for some applications, Documents Servers to allow you to save files as well as share them with colleagues in a safe way.
Peripherals-- things like printers, scanners, bar-code readers-networks-- the wires, or Wi-Fi links that allow your computer systems to talk with each other and also to the back-end systems along with to the broader globe through ...
The Internet-- A bunch of various other back-end systems and applications open to the world to give details and also solutions.

    Moving a business to cloud

Moving small businesses is not a big task, but determining which cloud computing solution is best for small enterprises is difficult. Small businesses scale up and down using the public cloud without making any costly expenditures. This flexibility also results in financial savings when organizations are working on a tight budget since they only pay for the resources they use at the time. Small Enterprises (SMEs) can avoid unnecessary downtime and assure service dependability without the need for new hardware or maintenance. The public cloud provides a significant opportunity for small enterprises to embrace digital transformation while minimizing early expenses.

I personally use a public cloud service provided by Ace Cloud Hosting, and I recommend that you look into it. It has features such as a proxy protocol, an HTTP (S) load handler, and a TCP/SSL traffic controller at an affordable and effective price. Three main migration strategies:

Lift and shift. Take your assets and rehost them in the cloud.
Improve and move. You need to re-architect your assets before they can move.
Hybrid migration. Migrate just part of your production to the cloud, while keeping other assets on-premise.

If you are looking for cloud migration services for your business then I suggest Cloudnow technologies. Cloudnow technologies cloud migration services offer industrialized capabilities with patented tools and automation.
